My spiritual background

Throughout my life, various strange and intriguing things have happened to me. Things that I either just ignored, rationalised or simply denied as being my overactive imagination at work. I've always been interested in the world of the paranormal and only recently have I become more comfortable with it being around my life.

My spiritual background began as a child being brought up into Christianity. I say 'brought up', it actually felt more like being 'dragged up', but I digress. I guess that's just a therapy session for another day !

The Church did not sit well with me when I was young, I was not happy to just sit back
and let a middle man tell me what God was and the difference between right and wrong. Besides, traditional hymns bored me to tears and I’d much rather have been playing with my Star Wars figures than sit in a cold building with hard seats on a Sunday morning ! I also didn’t get this concept of having to go to Church in order to worship God anyway. Was there a certain amount of times you had to go in order to be let into Heaven ? If you didn't go the allocated amount of times, did you go to Hell or dwell in some kind of middle nomansland ?

I think not.

I have always felt closer to the Divine by being surrounded by nature. I think maybe I was a Pagan in a past life. Who, incidentally were tortured and burnt at the stake by supposedly ‘God loving’ Christians not so long ago.

No, the Christian Church was not the way to go for me personally. But each to their own. I don’t really have a vendetta against the Church though – I’ve yet to meet a single nasty and spiteful Christian. I see my role in life more as trying to help steer organised religion into a more open and freer way of thinking, rather than simply fighting for my perosonal beliefs to the death.

As such, I am reading as much as I can about both religious spiritual philosophy, non-religious philosophy and balancing them with rational thinking. It can be a bit daunting sometimes, and mind-blowing to say the least. More than once have I declared : "screw it all to buggery !" and simply gone down the pub. But, in fact the pub is also a great place to talk philosophically, so no escape there alas. I’ve met many a ‘fat bloke down the pub’ to help put the World to rights. One day I’ll probably turn into him.

In the meantime I shall carry on with my psychic readings and spiritual writings and try my best to help and inform people with all that I have learnt – in the same way that so many others have given me their time to help me on my spiritual path.

And so the wheel of life continues.

One thing I have noticed recently is that there seems to be something deeply spiritual in the air. It is hard to pinpoint, but if you are in tune, you will feel it. According to many prophecies both ancient and modern, Mankind at about this time in its history, is destined to change it spiritual state of mind.

We are about to progress. But how ? Now this is the tricky bit. Not many people are totally sure, but I gather it runs along the lines of Mankind not only becoming more technologically advanced, but also spiritually, socially and psychically. Even if it takes disaster and despair to instigate this into effect.

I encounter more and more young people who are on the psychic fast track. I’ve met
parents who report that their children are very psychically active, seeing spirits and talking about matters that they should not really know about. You too may have noticed that there are many children being born this World who seem wise way beyond their years and equally many adults from the 'old school' way of life who act like children. In my views wisdom has nothing to do with physical age.

Ours it seems is the generation of change.

Personally, I believe that theses changes did in fact start to happen in the 1960's but was sadly ruined by drugs. However, the foundation laid back then remains and it is now up to this and the next generation to fix the mess which previous generations have created on so many levels.

The buck stops here folks, for the World desperately needs to change – Mankind has the ominous capability to be able to wipe itself out hundreds of times over with all the various nuclear, biological and chemical weapons it possesses. Statistically, given the amount of major wars fought in previous centuries, it seems more like when, rather than if they get used. There is also the issue of our environment and all the toxic chemicals being pumped into the air we breathe, but that’s a whole different story.

The buck stops with the new breed of spiritually and psychically active children and indeed with you. Right here, right now. The decision not to do anything about bringing about this change is still nevertheless a decision. It is a decision not to help.

It is still not to late to do your part. That part comes from helping others, informing others and bringing attention to others everything you learn, experience and view as spiritual change for a more positive future.
